Who we are

The SVA is a non-profit association incorporated in 1981 under the Quebec Companies Act, having as its goal the improvement of the quality of life in the area, including beautification, reduction of crime, promotion of good neighbourly relations, social events, and research on the history and culture of the area.

Through the SVA you will meet your neighbourhood – people who are like you, people who care about the area you live in. SVA holds many social and community-oriented events during the year: St-Patrick’s Day brunch, Earth Day Clean-up, Summer Social, Harvest Fest, Beautification contest and Holiday Party. We are working with the City on the new Community Centre in Square Children’s at Tupper and Atwater, and on the new park on Sussex. We invite guest speakers on subjects of interest to members.
